Ways to cut monthly bills

There has been a lot of buzz lately about VOIP or voice over internet protocol telephone services. You can use regular telephones and the service should be seamless. At the time of our move, we looked into VOIP for our internet and telephone service, but it was not cost effective enough at that time.

Now, however, Vonage is offering one free month of service and a plan that costs $24.99 per month for unlimited local and long distance calling. That's about half of what we pay for the same service with AT&T. Maybe it's worth looking into again.
