Mardi Gras

Some of the citizens of Eureka Springs have been planning a Mardi Gras celebration and parade for our town this year. I think last year was the first time they organized any Mardi Gras events, and although they didn't have a parade, people dressed up and walked down the street to the different restaurants and bars in town.

This year, the festivities have already started and they are having different events from now until the parade on February 17th. The Lovely County Citizen (our local paper) has mentioned the parade already - announcing the King and Queen of the Krazo Krew last week and inviting residents to participate with their dogs in the Crew of Barkus. You can dress up yourself and your dog and join the parade. There are prizes for the best costumes too! We will definitely be there, and might join in with our puppy.
