Out of the rat race

I was just thinking about how happy I am as a "stay-at-home-mom", and I realized that I have been out of the workplace for six years now. It's crazy how those years have flown by. Children grow up so fast even when you are with them all day, everyday. I can't imagine how fast they would grow up if I only saw them for a few hours every day like some working moms and dads do.

I know some households simply can't function on only one salary. But I highly recommend working really hard to pare down expenses so you can survive on one income. The rewards far outweigh any extra money you would make. At least that was the case for us.
