Snow birds

This is the term used to describe people that have two homes - one for the summer and one for the winter. My aunt and uncle live in Colorado in the summer, and in Arizona during the winter. This way, they have mostly mild weather throughout the year. I'm beginning to think this is the only way to have nice weather year-round since all the areas with mild climates are way over-populated and super expensive (like most of California, Oregon, and the east coast).

We've lived in towns where people only came for the summer and they loved it and said they wouldn't give it up for the world. I guess it fulfills the "need for change" that we get every few months or years without taking a big expensive vacation or moving to a new place.
