Two pinched fingers and a bumped head
Overall, my daughter's party was a success. We all had a good time and only a few kids got hurt. Two of them got their fingers pinched in a closet door when they were hiding from another child. One got pushed into a door and bumped his head. Out of the 19 kids we invited, only 6 came. So along with their parents, it was the perfect amount of guests and worked out nicely.
They all participated well in the games, except two of the boys wouldn't play "Pin the Horn on the Unicorn" because it was too girly. Since the weather was warm, we ate the cupcakes on the back deck (no mess, no fuss). I made cupcakes in ice cream cones, which were a big hit. I love making those because there are no plates or utensils needed and no trash at all since they eat the cone too. They are very environmentally friendly as well as kid friendly. All you do is pour the cake mix into ice cream cones instead of cupcake papers and bake the same way as usual. Voila!
