Starting to roll in...

The money, that is. Our (I should say my husbands) hard work is finally starting to pay off. We have several affiliate marketing sites that he designed and we got our first commission check last week. It is scary how much we have to pay for advertising some days (up to $60!) on Google Adwords, but we are still making more than we are spending overall for now.

All the books we have read about it say to stick it out for at least the first three months before you know how much a site will typically make. That is because at first you have to pay more for each search keyword to get your ad higher to the top of the page. Once you've been around awhile and prove yourself as a profitable marketer, they will show your ad higher on the page even if you lower your price per click. It all reminds me of gambling.
