Trolley in the winter
I have found it difficult to use our wonderful transit system in the winter months. Since November, the routes have changed since the Passion Play is closed until Spring. The route changes don't affect me much. In fact, it would make the route home from downtown quicker. The problem for me is the downtown depot has been closed every time I try to go and buy my resident monthly pass. I don't know if I'm just catching them during lunchtime and no one is there, or if riders are supposed to buy their passes directly from the drivers. I don't think I could buy a monthly pass from a driver, though.
So I am currently without a trolley pass. The good news is, that means more walking for me which I need because I tend to gain weight in the winter. The weather has been very mild so I can still get out most days. The walk has gotten easier for me too, since I do it so often. The only problem is if you have the kids with you and they get tired and cold - then you try to rush home uphill, against the wind. Oh well, it will be a good story to tell the grandchildren, right?
