Why am I not surprised?

With the rising internet trend of every user pretending to be someone else, I am not really that surprised to see the latest in personality-altering gadgets in the telecommunications field. At www.SpoofCard.com, you can purchase a calling card that lets you pick what phone number the receiver's caller ID will display, record the call, and even change what your voice sounds like during the call.

The company's slogan is "Be Who You Want To Be", and that this is a "fun" product, but in my opinion it is a very dangerous tool. We get enough sales calls and prank calls, do we really need "spoof" calls also? I say the internet is anonymous enough and we should keep the telephone out of it.
