Website review: Debt Consolidation News

I ran across an opportunity at PayPerPost that really caught my eye. It is a blog about debt consolidation and related finance articles. The articles are very informative and I plan to go through the archives to read more. I am curious why the blog is entitled "Debt Consolidation News" since so many other topics are covered. I would have selected a more broad title for this blog since it gives helpful information for a wide variety of financial topics.

One suggestion I would make to the blogger is to consider having fewer posts on the frontpage. Since the posts tend to be fairly long, maybe limit the frontpage to five posts, or list them as "teasers" that the reader will click on to read the entire article. Overall, the layout is nice and straightforward and I like that there are images to break up the text. This helps with the flow for the reader and keeps their interest. Another plus is the lack of distracting advertisements on the page, which readers appreciate so they can read articles uninterrupted.

Debt relief

As I have mentioned before, we have been out of debt (except for a mortgage) for five years now. We were lucky enough to be able to live with my in-laws for a year while we paid off all our credit cards with the help of a consumer credit counseling service. After educating myself some more on the best way to pay off loans early, we managed to pay off our student loans a couple years later.

If you already own a home, one way to pay off debt is with a Home Equity Loan. The interest rates are surely less than that of your credit cards and you can usually get a bit of extra cash in the process. The benefits of an Online Loan are the ease of the application and approval process. You will know much sooner if you qualify and what the cost and terms will be.

Debt free and loving it

We got into some trouble with credit cards when we were in college and working part-time. We just didn't have the money to make ends meet, so we would use credit cards - bad idea. So we ended up using a credit counseling service to help reduce the debt and eventually paid it all off and have remained credit card debt free for ten years now. Once we graduated, we were able to work full time and pay off all our student loan and car debt as well. I just hate the feeling of owing money and paying money towards interest.

Since credit counseling services make you cut up your current credit cards, not all people feel they can go that route. If so, perhaps a Credit Card Debt Consolidation loan is the answer. You can get a lower percentage rate and eliminate credit card debt much faster than if you pay the revolving interest on the cards each month.

Credit Card News

I think we've all had trouble with credit cards at some point in our adult lives, and some of us have required professional help to recover. Credit is one of those things that are useful, but very easy to go overboard with. In college, we got into major credit card debt and had to get counseling to recover. Luckily, we didn't have to file bankruptcy, but many people are not so lucky.

There are so many different credit cards out there today, it's hard to pick which one is right for you. There is a website I saw advertised on Pay Per Post that offers credit card advice and the latest credit card news.

You can view all the credit cards in a side-by-side comparison and organize them by the qualities you value the most. If you find one that suits your needs, you can apply for it right on the website.
