Register online

In my "past life" before becoming a mom, I worked at a very large corporation as an administrative assistant. My duties ranged from scheduling conference calls, to reconciling finances, to booking classes for our department. There is an online event planning management tool that would make any admin assistant's job much easier. This site allows people to register online for events, classes, and training seminars.

The users register online and the site has a video spokesperson to guide you through the process. If you have questions along the way, "Connie" is there to help. Test studies done by RegOnline have shown an 11% increase in registrations when using the spokesperson feature. I think it is because of the personal element, people feel they can trust a site more if there is a live person (even a simulated one).

I've heard people say time and again that they would prefer to talk to a live person instead of using an automated menu when calling a company on the telephone, and I think the same is true for the internet. People require some sort of human element to feel comfortable. Connie's demeanor is straightforward and reassuring to the registrant, which makes them more likely to respond.
