Skateboarding is not a crime

I saw this very disturbing video of a group of young skateboarders in Little Rock who got mistreated by police and arrested and by now it has made national news.



This all goes back to the jocks in high school beating up the skaters and all the cliques that torment kids during the teen years. This police officer obviously has some repressed anger towards skaters to treat these kids the way he did. His behavior was totally inappropriate and over-the-top.

At least skaters are getting together with friends to skate, instead of hanging out and doing drugs or drinking alcohol. So many teenagers end up in drug rehabs nowadays, we should promote skating as a viable past time for kids. I think more skate parks should be built to keep kids from skating on the sidewalks instead of arresting them.
